Café named in Lonely Planet as great eatery

WINGHAM'S Bent on Food has been described by Lonely Planet's new East Coast Australia Guide as one of the best places to eat in NSW.

Owner Donna Carrier was delighted to discover her café had been given such a favourable mention.

"This is really exciting news for us, particularly as it targets another demographic of tourists," Donna said.

The Lonely Planet guidebooks are must-haves for backpackers and international travellers who value the recommendations when determining places to visit.

"We have been mentioned in the Good Food Guide for several years which is great, but to be mentioned in the Lonely Planet is absolutely fantastic news."

As part of the research for the East Coast Australia Guide, eight authors traversed 18,000km of coastline - from the Great Barrier Reef to the Great Ocean Road.

Lonely Planet authors are independent and dedicated travellers who visit each destination and review places of interest. They do not accept freebies and business operators are often unaware they are being reviewed for the publication.
